Blooming in Baysville since 1965

Baysville Horticultural Society:

Keep Baysville Blooming

The Baysville Horticultural Society maintains the beautiful gardens in Centennial Park, Robertson Parkette as well as the gardens along the Baysville riverfront and at the dam.

Throughout the year, we hold presentations of interest to local gardeners. Our meetings are usually on the first Tuesday of the month and generally take place at the Baysville Seniors Centre.

As the Baysville Horticultural Society, our volunteer efforts are rooted in beautifying our village and strengthening community connections through gardening, green spaces, and cultural events. Our mission is to enrich Baysville by caring for public gardens, supporting environmental stewardship, and fostering arts and culture along our waterfront and throughout the community.

By assuming stewardship of the Riverfront legacy, and building on the foundation established in 1999, we continue that spirit of volunteer leadership in a way that reflects who we are today. Through the Baysville Arts & Craft Festival, community plantings, educational initiatives, and partnerships, we honour the past while nurturing the future of Baysville, one project at a time.

Baysville’s Millennial Vision:

A Renewal Rooted in Heritage

Back in 1999, a sense of renewal and hope was building in Baysville. A gathering of local organizations were first brought together by the Baysville Community Group, with the guidance of a Planner to create a vision for a Millennium 2000 Project. Proposals poured in, each one a reflection of the community's collective interest in renewal without losing sight of our heritage and our story. The collective result focused on revitalizing our riverfront in ways that could enliven our culture. And it marked the beginning of an era of social change that is made-in-Baysville.

Baysville Events

Every summer, Baysville comes alive with two vibrant events celebrating our community spirit and creative culture. The Surf & Turf brings everyone together for a feast of fresh lobster and roast beef, while the Arts & Craft Festival showcases Ontario's finest artisans against the beautiful riverfront backdrop. Join us for food, fun, and local flavour!

Every summer, the Curling Club and Baysville Horticultural Society bring the community together for a beloved local tradition. Savour fresh lobster, roast beef, and a vibrant silent auction featuring over 60 local businesses. This celebration is where seasonal residents and locals reconnect to kick off the summer at Muskoka's beautiful lakehead.

Celebrate Ontarian jewellers and craft makers. Discover art inspired by Muskoka’s beauty through painting, photography, and sculpture. With 80+ vendors and 2,000 visitors each summer, this riverfront event is the perfect cottage boat excursion. Enjoy treats from Miss Nelles, Tacos & Guac, Yummies in a Jar, or Lake of Bays Brewery.
